Reach Outdoors Project
Reach Outdoors is an exciting new outdoor learning project for women - an opportunity for our parents/carers to learn some new outdoor skills and meet new friends from across our Batley and Birstall communities. Reach Outdoors is an 8 session programme (two hours each week) in which our participants will learn to build a fire, cook outdoors, enjoy a day camp, walk a tightrope and much more – great for well-being! For part of each morning, each parent's/carer's child/children will join in the leaning, so that new skills can be passed on. Seven of the sessions will take place here at Healey School with our artist, Fiona Goodwin, and the final session will be held at Crow Nest Park, Dewsbury, where women from three other participating schools will all meet together to celebrate becoming outdoor experts.
