Fire! Fire!

This half term we have looked at the Great Fire of London.

First we made a model village of London.

Unfortunately, a fire started in the bakery and quickly spread throughout our village! We used buckets of water to try and put the fire out but it was too late.

We had a visit from our local firefighters. We asked them lots of questions and compared how the fire service has changed from 1666 to now.

KS1 nativity 'The Sleepy Shepherd'

This half term we have worked very hard on our production of 'The Sleepy Shepherd'. We learnt lots of songs with year 1 and showcased our performing skills. We had lots of fun and really enjoyed performing it to our parents.

This half term we have looked at superheroes. We worked in groups to make our own superheroes. We used a range of materials. We then presented our superhero and their backstory to the rest of the class.

In English we have written our own version of the story Supertato. We went on a trip to Morrisons to choose our new superhero. We then paid for our items using the correct amount of money.

Morrisons new

We also completed forest school activities. We had lots of fun designing and making dens for our superheroes.

Knights and Castles

We went on a trip to the Royal Armouries as our 'wow' starter for our topic. We had lots of fun trying on armour, building castles and telling stories.
